Whanau Way

This quadruple slide tower offers riders four different high-speed experiences.

In the isles of the South Seas, Whanau means extended family, which is what you'll feel like after diving down the slides on double inner tubes together. Look out below!


  • Riders under 48 inches (1.22m) tall must wear a life vest and be able to maintain proper riding position unassisted in a double tube.
  • Maximum operational load 2 persons, 400 pounds (182 kg).
  • Riders must be able to maintain proper rider position without assistance.
  • Tubes should be ridden in seated position, facing forward with legs extended and holding both handles.
  • Lighter rider must ride in the forward position; heaver rider in the rear position.
  • Rider must wait for the guard signal before starting the ride.
  • Keep arms and hands inside the flume at all times.
  • Riders must stay in tube during the ride. If you accidentally fall from the tube continue on down the tube without it and exit normally.
  • At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool guard and exit quickly taking the tube with you.
  • Do not throw anything from the tower.
  • Obey all posted signs and instructions by lifeguard.
  • Riders of this attraction will be exposed to forces, speeds and other intense features that may cause distress or injury to persons with pre-existing health conditions. Please consider these features in determining suitability for all riders.
  • Only guests in good health should ride this attraction. Do not ride if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, motion sickness, heart neck or back problems, fear of heights, sensitivity to strobe effects, recent surgery or any other medical condition that may be aggravated by the forces of this ride.
  • Do not swallow the pool water, it is recirculated.
  • Do not use pool if you are ill with diarrhea.
  • Eyeglasses must have straps.
  • Aquatica assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
